{"id":23148,"date":"2026-07-19T12:49:42","date_gmt":"2026-07-19T03:49:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.earthmanship.com\/?page_id=23148"},"modified":"2026-07-19T12:58:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-19T03:58:15","slug":"certified-npo-earthmanship-is-seeking-supporters%ef%bc%81","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.earthmanship.com\/?page_id=23148","title":{"rendered":"Certified NPO Earthmanship is seeking supporters\uff01"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-white-color has-text-color has-large-font-size\"><span class=\"swl-bg-color has-swl-deep-04-background-color\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.earthmanship.com\/?page_id=18204\"><strong>Japanese<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we founded this organization in 1996, we chose the name &#8220;Earthmanship&#8221; because we felt this word, representing the &#8220;global citizen spirit,&#8221; embodies what humanity should strive for in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All life and activities on this Earth are interconnected and moving together.<br>We do not live solely by our own power; rather, we are given life within a grand web of connections.<br>When we realize that there is no path to happiness for oneself alone, we begin to see what is lacking in today&#8217;s society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the same time as, or even before, acquiring knowledge and skills, we want to look at our existence as humans on this Earth.<br>We want to understand ourselves, recognize our relationships with the life around us and the overall connections, and instead of constantly comparing ourselves to others, live joyfully with confidence in our own lives, which we are permitted to live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earthmanship is a place that provides various times and spaces for such learning.<br>Earthmanship offers rich nature, delicious food, numerous insights, real-world learning unbound by the Japanese school system, and an abundance of joy overflowing from it all.Please become a supporter of the Certified NPO Earthmanship and help us nurture Earthmanship together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-10\"><strong>Earthmanship is a Certified NPO<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>On January 16, 2023, Earthmanship received certification as a Certified NPO from the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.<br>Donations (including supporting membership fees) to a Certified NPO are eligible for tax deductions within Japan.<br>Please click here for more details regarding tax deductions for donations.<br>\uff0aFor information about tax deductions within Japan, please contact your local municipal office or the tax office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Certified NPO is an organization among NPO corporations that has been recognized by the competent authorities as meeting several strict requirements, such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Having high public interest and receiving broad support from the general public<\/li><li>Conducting appropriate organizational management and activities in compliance with laws and regulations<\/li><li>Maintaining proper information disclosure<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2605As of the end of November 2022, the total number of NPOs is 51,759. Among them, only 1,257 are Certified NPOs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-10\"><strong>Why does Earthmanship need supporters?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-emboss_box\">\u2776 We want to join forces with people who believe that &#8220;Earthmanship is a truly necessary place for learning.&#8221; We believe that the thoughts and wishes gathered here will become a powerful foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-50 is-style-emboss_box\">\u2777 Building a place that benefits many people requires the strength of many people.<br>Earthmanship is a place that aims for a world where people and nature can live happily and joyfully, and it serves as a space for each individual to nurture a solid foundation.<br>It provides rest, a space to heal and maintain one&#8217;s core soundly, and a time for everyone involved to learn together.<br><br>Furthermore, Earthmanship is not a place where only the participants benefit.<br>Those who learn here will venture out into various parts of society, carrying the spirit of Earthmanship, spreading positive ripples, and aiming to guide society as a whole toward a better direction.<br><br>However, education is not a business. Therefore, it is impossible to have the participants bear the entirety of the operational and programming expenses of Earthmanship. Doing so would make the participation fees extremely high, contradicting our core mission of providing a learning environment to as many people as possible.<br><br>Just as public education relies on state funding to function, continuous spiritual and financial support from many individuals is essential to sustain this vital educational space.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-10\"><strong>Where is Earthmanship located?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Earthmanship has three fields and bases:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-stitch\">\u2776 An old folk house with 1,500 tsubo (approx. 4,950&nbsp;\u33a1) of fields and about 8,000 tsubo (approx. 26,400&nbsp;\u33a1) of forest in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.<br>This serves as the main base for the &#8220;School to Learn the Whole.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"is-style-stitch\">\u2777 A field in the water source forest of Okutama Town, Tokyo.<br>This valley preserves beautiful, untouched nature. Since it has no electricity, running water, or gas, it is a precious private space where you can experience unique learning opportunities. Children&#8217;s camps are based here, and we also offer adult programs that can only be experienced in this setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-50 is-style-stitch\">\u2778 The &#8220;Old House in Kichijoji&#8221; located in Tokyo.<br>This is a place where people living in the city can easily connect with Earthmanship. It serves as a base for indoor lectures and a cafe operated by our companions. The Earthmanship office is also located here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-20\"><strong>How can I become a supporter?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong>Participate in Programs<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"u-mb-ctrl u-mb-30 is-style-stitch\">By participating in our programs, you can experience Earthmanship&#8217;s activities firsthand.
